The Purple Party is back and inside!

A Look Back, A Look Forward: Immortalizing Legacy
Latinitas Purple Party for Chica Power hints to Austin’s past by spotlighting courageous female
leaders who fought for equity in media, tech, education, public leadership, entrepreneurship and the arts l
ong before 2020’s marches; long before power structures were listening and long before
#blacklivesmatter and #metoo were trending. This year’s Purple Party for Chica Power, taking place in
Cirrus Logic’s free event space, celebrates Latinitas’ role carrying out this legacy of equality and
representation through culturally relevant programs, leadership and initiatives.

The Legends Mosaics: Austin's Courageous Female Leaders of Color series is a
collection of art pieces that will honor six women who were on the frontlines of equity in areas of
entrepreneurship, media and tech, public leadership, education, and art. Your donation towards the Legends Mosaic series will give you ownership of an art piece that will be immortalized and live in the public domain for generations to come! Your support will also give you access to a fun-filled night that will honor amazing women, showcase the growth of Latinitas’ programs, interactive activities, and more. Come join us for a night of celebration that will include a live auction, food from all around Latin America,
signature cocktails, and the music stylings of DJ La Moon!

The Next 20 Years
Our annual Purple Party for Chica Power is a fun night of celebration and a time to reflect but it also has a purpose. We are proud to celebrate our legacy and how we were able to transition to virtual
programming almost overnight. Some of our programs were able to double in size and we continue to ask not if, but how we can support our community. Your support through this event will allow us to continue that growth and help us reach the further corners of Austin and beyond for the next 20 years!
